Squirrel Blessings

 

From his birch tree branch with bark quite blanche
the squirrel speeds falls' shower of leaves
In winter he upon our heads drops snowpuffs
Then in spring he sends down blossom fluff
And in the summer sprinkles of rain.

Often like a popcorn eater in the theater

he drops all over his cracked nutshells.
