Adam and Eve, with Seth; Abraham and Sarah,

Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Leah; Judah

and Tamar; Jesse, David and Bathsheba, with

Solomon; with all the other ancestors,

according to the flesh, exult and offer this

praise to God:  "We Thank You, most Gracious

"Lord and Beneficent Father, for You chose us

"(we who were most seriously flawed) that,

"from our lineage arose the Blessed Theotokos

"and from Her flesh arose Your Son, Christ our

"God and Redeemer, the Bright and Morning Star

"Who---indeed, and in fact, and in the Gospel's

"most joyous jubilant news---rose first from the

"Virgin's Womb, and rose again from the

"hitherto unused and previously unoccupied

"Garden Tomb.  For these stellar risings, we

"thank You, our Good God."
