+ 1ST ORTHODOX POEMS: LXX On Joel 2:32, On The Eve Of The Feast Of The Prophet Saint Joel

Lord, through Your Holy Prophet Joel,

You declared that And it shall come to pass that

whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved . . . . . .

You are longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any

should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Sin's wage is death, and death is its final payment and sentence.

But Salvation from sin and unto Life is obtained by Faithfilled repentance.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The poem quotes Brenton's LXX translation, also partly quotes 2 Peter 3:9.
