I’ve always fallen for

The darkest of lies

Their hearts like a stone

And cold glass marble eyes



I gave up completely

And said I’d never look again

All they ever do for me

Is make me feel broken



But then I saw your eyes

And they told me, “it’ll be ok”

Your smile told me things

That your mouth just couldn’t say



Now maybe your innocence

Will replace his cold, cold heart

I’ve never met someone so real

Without a hidden part



Maybe you’re a dream

And you’re just like him

I admit I’m scared to trust you

I’m balancing on a rim



A heart never broken

Lips never kissed

A body untouched

A love to be wished



For once someone cares

Without expecting something back

I know I have the world

And love is all I lack



But you were only temporary

And today I said goodbye

You went back to your perfect world

And tears flowed from my eyes
