I love you but not in the way you love me

My love is less confining

It has less criteria

It’s stupid and clumsy

It’s given to anyone who will take it

So I don’t trust it like you do yours

And that makes me want to keep it from you

To save you

From the weight of a million hearts crammed into mine trying to fit into yours

Because I love you

Just not the way you want me too
