Sleep Well

Don't you look ducky in that dapper suit,

Perfect attire to legitimize

Brazen lies against those you persecute,

License to modify truth in your eyes.

Hang it in your closet beside the rest,

Those many emblems of self-perception.

What concerns press your mind as you divest

Of them all and a naked reflection

Spills into the mirror beside your bed?

Well, gently let them go. Their time has passed.

Softly pull the covers over your head.

What a trying day. It won't be your last.

Now sound each Z as it passes through.

Sleep well darlin', 'cause we're comin' for you.
