I’ve insecurities like any man
Losing confidence in divine plan.
I can be indolent, materialistic and petty,
Sometimes wandering off on a jetty
On a tangent from the crux of life
Where solitude cuts like a knife
Until it all dawns on me.
Though it’s a heavy duty to upkeep
When those droplets of doubt begin to seep
I respect God’s creations as sacred duty
For I know in my heart that it’s all beauty.
Those doubts in time can create a wound
Acidic in nature and fine-tuned
Making life more painful than it has to be,
But I’m sure in my heart He won’t forsake me
So I rest content – that’s the way God made me.
I believe all will turn out right in the end
As I’m loved beyond ability to comprehend.
