I speak to the sky
Alone on a hilltop
Crying in vain
Just me and my teardrops
The wind wisps my face
And as I close my eyes
I can hear it speak
Avoidance would be unwise
"Listen here girl
You are NOT alone
Just look around you
See and it will be shown"
I open my eyes
And squint at the brightness
What appears before me
Is a young and wild tigress
She spies me with caution
Not sure of my intentions
I sit still in awe
Every muscle stiffened
"What is this you're showing me?"
I ask inside my mind
"What's this got to do with anything,
What's this answer you designed?"
The voice of the wind
Sadly did not return
I stared at my tiger friend
Careful not to squirm
Eyes meeting once again
A glint of wonder flashed within
Her beauty I respected
As I watched her leave
Astounded by the peace
I suddenly received
The tears once spilled
Are now long gone and dry
A new and hopeful feeling
In my heart resides
The sky and the wind
Have taught me something sacred
That in my deepest sorrow
The world that God created
Embodies greater things
That make me feel so small
And even my biggest problems
Are simple all in all
If you set aside your issues
Whatever they may be
And inspect the greater picture
You too will see
That even in our dark times
The world is steady and sound
The grandure of this masterpiece
Is there when you look around
See past your own insecurities
Past the greed and despair
Open your hearts to love again
Prove to God that you still care
