Father

He refuses to explore

His mind or any other

He relentlessly implores

-His sisters’ only brother.

He ignites in conversation

And he’s socially diverse.

He’s intent in one sensation;

There’s a God and Universe.

A natural born debater

He would gamble on his life

But he prays to his creator

For he’s lost and kids and wife.

He lives with a depression

Love has never been his fate.

But he hides in this confession

For he wants a perfect slate

He blames it on society

He blames it on the poor.

He has a certain anxiety,

He’s scared he won’t get more.

He’s not afraid of dying

But he’s scared he won’t live long.

He has a knack for lying

But he claims he’s done no wrong.

He’s love is not material

Nor verbally expressed

His state of mind is critical

He wants not to be repressed.
