Distanced,
And yet, so close I could have touched you.
The untainted bond
That holds us in these moments.
Fastened together like a caterpillar to its cocoon.
Finding the truth by
Enduring nature’s wrath
Like a wraith I struggled out
Confronted with mortality
And time, it runs too fast.
Yet here I am
Fluttering on intangible wings
Composing light out of
These darker things
I am the orchestra
I am the maestro
I am all that I need to be
For here and for now,
These moments that hold us
Predestined - together like the butterfly to nectar.
Feeding us,
Completing us.
It is for these moments that I have lived
That I have lingered.
For now with this veracity,
Of future and past I see lucidly
All things that were, are and will be
With the eyes of a butterfly.
