"The Anthology of the Soul"
I once watched a man argue
with a spooky bird that won’t shut up,
While choosing one path over another
and overthinking it forever.
He learned that even kings
end up as dust in the desert,
Yet still, resilience speaks
louder than oppression.
Though flowers can make your heart dance,
We must rage against dying peacefully;
For love so strong it defies death
(but it’s still creepy)
Is just one of the infinite ways to love.
As a bird sings, and suddenly life feels too short,
We see that civilization is basically a chaotic mess.
Death shows up like a polite carriage driver,
While a woman’s beauty is described like nightfall.
An anxious man overthinks life, love, and mermaids,
Yet we continue celebrating
being human in all its messy glory.
My spirit stays unbroken, no matter what,
Even as brave soldiers ride into certain death.
Life slips away like sand through your fingers—
A wild daydream about building paradise.
And though a jealous duke lowkey admits to murder,
Life is short, but there are promises to keep.
