"Tilt and Frame

The careful poet lifts a frame,

arches of measure, panes of rhyme,

the reader steps inside,

believing the structure whole.

The wayward poet tilts the ground,

syllables scatter in the air,

the reader falters,

seeing the stage, the mask, the trick.

One voice runs in straight lines,

another breaks mid‑note.

Both still remain,

both are masks,

both are mirrors angled toward you.
