Circus machine
Their force fields are nothing more
than cotton candy remnants floating along
on a half way machine that
that feeds itself with the sweaty
lust of citizens that use pennies
to scrape scratch off tickets and
use the winnings only to buy more tickets.
Their guardians stand close by
with large mallets which they will
slam forcefully down onto something
that will surely ring when
it reaches the top.
