Wax and wane

The seconds become secondary as moonlight moves the oceans
and the oceans continue to cover paper cups with sand.

The sun dries them out only to be covered again
and all the clouds you see are nothing more than pages in your life.

They pass overhead dog-eared and yellowed and
ready to be read again someday.
