Memories fade as time goes by;

As the shores of life reseed the tides of hope remain

Even as body youth may wane the sole still rises not in vain 

But for you, 

the feelings I have are locked in time, rust  resistant,

never giving into life’s belligerence 

And yet only Hope can give us resilience

Make me shine

Make my life fertile

Miles away from Time’s despair

Hand-in-hand, we’ll walk along life’s grand plan
