Let the rain fall

Folder:
Grief

Watch the sun set on the horizon,
realize the things that once seemed crucial don't matter now.

A cloud over your head, soft wind blows,
the promise of rain in the stale air.

Think about all the sunsets she'll never see,
all the things she'll never do,
who she'll never get to be.

Tomorrow is a new day,
as long as you make it through today.

Keep on breathing, dreaming,
whatever you do, never stop believing.

She's gone from this world,
at peace in the next,
but she'd still want you to go on,
want you to be strong.

She's in each breeze that touches your cheek,
each sun as it shines through a window.

She is in the rain, washing everything clean,
she'll always be there, no matter how dark it may seem.

For tonight let the tears come,
listen to the wind,
let the rain fall, let her in.
