oh how divine you are with your smiling trees
with your wind softly kissing me
making me feel at ease
a world all on its own
a world I would never want to disown
but for now you are my escape, escape from everything that brings me stress
or anything that turned into a mess
because you pass no judgment on who I am
but instead you open your doors to this safe haven
one that allows for peace, serenity and zen
you open your gates to beautiful sites
despite the rain or snow you never fail to amaze
an exotic rain forest or winter wonderland is what I see
and all I can do is gaze
so, thank you for all that you do, and all that you are
for all that you say and listen without fail
you are truly incredibly the one and only bike trail
