i've been beaten down & run through to the core

but now i will fly where the eagles soar

i've been knocked down for no reason cuffed & stepped on

but now i realize that im more a king than a pawn

i've been spit on, pushed around & hit with a bottle

life is all up hill but now im running full throttle

i've had a knee pressed against my neck tell i passed out

but i wont fail, i will triumph with out a doubt

i've been hit with a lantern & smacked with a bat

none of this will stop me i guarantee you that

i'v been bruised, i've been cut with what i dont know

but i will shine like the brightest light, i will glow

i've been smashed, clubbed, hog tied & put in jail

but i know who i am & i will not fail

i've been laughed at, ridiculed & attacked

through all this i am a man who has not cracked

i've had lots of things happen to  make one frown

all i can say is "you cant keep a good man down"
