Heat Wave in the Winter

Cool Cat living in the city

Looking so fine, Looking so Pretty
Getting down, Hands real gritty
Been Free, Now isn’t that a blessing
Drones flying over each building

All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head

Run down town, evening in the city
Businesses closed, can’t find a drink even in an alley
Depressed people, Walking in the city
Smiling officers greet you with a subpoena
Till I’m wheezing like a bus stop
Running to hide in the alley, just an everyday occurrence

All around, people looking half dead
Walking on the sidewalk, hatter than match head

But at night it’s a different world
Go out and free a girl
Come-on Come-on and dance all night
Despite the crime it’ll be alright

And babe, don’t you know it’s a pity
That the day can’t be like the nights
A heat wave in the winter
A heat wave in the winter
