My friend Greg
made a basket
from half-court
for the first time.
-
No one else I know
in the third grade
can even throw it that far.

Maybe I could throw
a baseball,
but I'm talking
regulation
NBA-sized
basketball!

It was a "swish" too!
-at recess,
with everyone watching!
-
I made a basket once
from the top of the key,
but the only person who saw it
was Tim Carlson;
and he didn't even think
it was that cool
because he can
make it from there too.

Greg got all this applause
when he made his
swish at recess.
-
You might think I'd be
sad or jealous
since Greg is
a better player than I am
and everyone saw his shot.

But I'm not, because
Greg is my friend.
