I pray her smile's expanding,
though secluded by a wall.
Demolition's so demanding
but there's reason it should fall.
A smile whose only voice
whispers as not to disturb
The wall who makes the choice
over the smile who forms the word.
Sometimes the wall is lowered
so the smile appears to grow,
The smile then reaches forward
while the wall lets no one know.
This wall of indecision
built up by years of pain
Drifts on without a vision
only the smile could gain.
A smile like sunlight's glory
warming heart and soul and mind,
Explaining such a story;
one the wall keeps trying to hide
