I wrote a song about the rain
After looking in her eyes
The clouds soon began to change
And I really didn't realize
That blue sky had now opened wide
While I still lingered with her tempest
And soon the sun I so patronized
Was burning bright to pre-empt this
Song I wrote about her reign
After yielding to eyes of green
I fell into a puddle made
Of her tears cried at seventeen
The clouds brought more than rain and shade
