evening's long shadows
drive butterflies away
chasing them off
in wild disarray...
so eager their passion
to beautifully display
but this ignorant giant
sleeps through the day.
representing all positive,
optimistic and okay,
the frail fluttering metaphors
know how to play.
they make him cross
boundaries and stray
over the barriers
that stand in his way
of catching sight
of the sun's final ray.
