to awaken alone
again
alive only in misery
but my eyes are sewn shut
must I move to get up?
I feel
a bit
of 'situational ethics'
is in order...
I'm lying
alone again
(here nearly asleep)
[to my boss]
as I hang up the phone
I turn over in bed
Yawning
as caffeine is weaned
Now I can get
get back
to that dream:
The one where you are
seventeen
and we are
awake
together
