There is no easy way,

to say goodbye.

I choke on those words,

for I do not want to say them.

There is no easy way,

to let go of someone you love.

Especially when the pain you feel,

is just as strong,

as the feeling you still have for them.

There is no easy way,

to say it’s over.

When you’ve been together for so long,

and it’s the greatest love you’ve ever known.

You don’t want it to end,

but maybe start over,

and try again.

Everyone deserves a second chance,

why not love too?
