"Today has been fun"

I say to myself,

as I look at the items,

upon the shelf.

I've been here many times,

my favorite store.

But I must say,

I've never seen you before.

~

Eyes so dark and mysterious,

that I could just melt.

And I've never had,

these feelings being felt.

~

You take a step closer,

and I start to walk away.

But you stop me and ask,

"how is your day?"

~

My first crush,

I must say it's you.

But break my heart,

is all you do.

~

We got to know each other,

everything was fine.

I thought to myself,

"This one's got to be mine"

~

You took me to homecoming,

we had such a blast.

But now that is just,

too far in the past.

~

You've hurt me more,

than I thought anyone could,

and out of all people,

I never thought you would.

~

Yeah you're my first crush,

you've crushed my heart.

And you knew I loved you,

right from the start.

~

You'll never see me hurt.

You'll never see my cry.

Because I never want to see you again,

and I'm saying good bye.

~

You knew you hurt me,

by always speaking of her.

And it makes me think,

of what we never were.

~

You were my first crush,

I'll always remember,

the good ol' days.

Like the month of December.

~

The month I met you,

a year later.. the month I cried.

The month I found out,

that you'd soon have a bride by your side.

~

So what I'm trying to say,

is have a nice life.

And I wish nothing but the best,

for you and your soon to be wife.

~

Make sure not to treat her,

the same way as I.

Or else she too,

may be saying her last good bye.

~

My first crush,

look me in the eyes.

Or else you'll miss,

your last good bye.

~
