the world slept soundly,
as I lay awake,
and think of you.

Last night,
someone fell in love.
While others, like me,
ended up heart broken.

Last night,
my world came crashing down,
right before my eyes,
when you left.
~
Last night,
my world stopped turning,
time stood still,
and my heart stopped beating.
~
Last night,
my thoughts and feelings,
words and phrases,
meant nothing to you.
~
Because last night,
you stopped loving me.
