This Room

Folder:
2001 Poetry

This room was full of laughter.

This room was full of fun.

This room was full of happiness,

but now what's done is done.

~

You took away out happiness,

joyfulness and glee.

You took away the last thing

you could ever take from me.

~

You got so drunk that night,

drinking beer after beer.

That you seized a precious life,

how could you take away something so dear?

~

Speeding over rough terrain,

you thought he'd be all right.

He flew from your truck bed,

and you left him there for night.

~

You left him all alone.

You left him there to die.

You see that's someone's son,

that son you killed was mine.
