When I was a little girl

I believed with every dream

That there was always that one for somebody

That it would one day happen to me

I thought love was special meant to be shared by two

But now I've grown

And come to know

The meaning of "I love you"

To me, these words mean nothing

An empty background within

The more I see, it's pointless

A game where nobody wins

Now don't think I'm just talking

Or running off my mouth

For I am only speaking the truth

Of something I know all about

I once was the one who was innocent

Giving all the love she had

I would of died for this man

But instead, I cried for this man

And one day he left me so sad

From that day on , I promised

That no matter who did me wrong

I didn't need love to complete my life

I made an eternal vow to be strong

If guys can't  see me for who I am

And the things I have to give

I know for a fact of the beauty I bear

The loving person within.
