Candy-Coated Reality
When I saw you walk in the door, a huge smile lit up my face.
Your eyes sparkled like diamonds when they met mine.
My pulse jumped, then so did I as I ran to you and gave you a big hug.
You whispered that you couldn't be happier than to be with me at that moment.
I couldn't agree with you more.
So we sat down and had a most enjoyable day together.
The only thing that mattered to us at all during that time was that we had each other.
And it was just you and me,
Only you and me.
Then later on, we were laying together, just thinking about nothing at all as we heard our rythymic breathing and our hearts beating as the same,
As if one.
Suddenly you looked down at me, looking up at you.
You smiled sweetly and said, "Have I ever told you how much I love you?"
My smile jumped in line as did my heart rate.
You sat me up and took my hand gently in yours.
We closed our eyes and felt each other's soft, pink, candy lips grace the other's...
As sweet as sweet can be.
That's what you are in too many ways to count.
