soothing 

your senses
to stop and smell

the coral blue flowers
of journey's 

ventured into
minds for expressing 

emotion
until lights come on,

realizing what it means

to an American woman writer 

with her heart sparkling 

with love
for you're able to fly  

your poetry on eagle wings.
