where poetry spills

off expressive tongues

to ink pages with

stamped emotions etching

artistic diction in

colorful personalities sketching.

Ode to America

where music evokes

lyrical inspirations

getting feet tapping

out metaphor connections

with hymned poetic license

adding duet vocalists

to enhance tonalities

with dancers collaborating.

Ode to America

where painters brush

their canvas communications

in palettes of cleverness

blending fiction into

reality with splashes

of ethnic styles.

Ode to America

where having dreams

flies like our flag 

of pride, courage, bravery

to show how historic soldiers

gave us the ability

to represent not merely ourselves,

but our cultural traditions.

Ode to America

where making oaths

to God is held sacred 

within our prayers

withstanding the right

to love our country

with beloved blessings

of friends, family, animals

providing the true meaning

of America's beauty

and why I am proud

to be an American poetess.
