God’s Gardens

Wind tickles flowers
While stroking rain
Nourishes their soil
For sprouting beauty
And heavenly aromas.

Slate-gray paints skies
With rumbling thunder
Shaking our souls
To slow dance
In God‘s embrace.

Flags bravely sashay
Across our country
For celebrating those
Who fought to obtain
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Rain or shine,
We stand as proud
Citizens of the U.S.A.
Without forgetting
How we achieved today.
