Strip away cosmetics with
pricks of unconditional kindness
where it no longer matters
what external beauty we posses,
but instead the radiating sequins
of our love for one another.
Cut away the layers of fabric
with scissor snipping fingers
for realizing how wondrous
everyone is and how far
we have traveled to beat
the tear-jerking obstacles of
breast cancer, depression, etc.
Wash away the debris of hair products
with shampooing Shakespeare hands
that massage away tension
to replace every ailment with
open-arm acceptance one day at a time
and the colors of our lives
quilt our liberality of love.
