have mercy on us all
for all of us are sinners,
but don't hold that against us.
It's how we learn and how you chose to teach us.

for we are naive.
We all think we know so much,
but, yet, we don't.
You do.

for we are blind.
We are too blind to find our way
on our own, but with you we can do anything.

God
have mercy on us all
for we can not hear.
We miss what's said when we entrap
ourselves in our everyday lives.
We also forget to listen for what's not said.
You hear all. Please, share.

for we do not all realize we love you.
We may realize how we feel about a lot of things
and people, but when it comes to you
we are ignorant.
We don't realize just how much we love you.
You never forget.
