The Journey

Things were different from yesterday

For unknown reasons I’m not the same

But you tell me I’m not to blame

I shove you away

“I know somethings wrong but what?”

He didn’t seem to notice the cut

Or the bandage that was wrapped around the arm

He knew that she was enduring self harm

“I’m not sure what to do.”

“Don’t you understand? This is all because of you.”

He stared at her with eyes full of pain

He felt that he had done everything in vain

All he wanted was to save her life

Secretly he loved her like a wife

This time she knew she screwed up

How could she be so abrupt

Half the time she wanted to give up

He wanted her and she wanted him

Both of their situations were turning grim

His hand happened to gently skim

Over her shoulder and down her back

He leaned in to give her a kiss

For a moment both of them felt complete bliss

They waited for a moment quite like this

As she pulled away the wind blew through the pin

He then touched her face sending shivers down her spine

It was then he looked into her eyes

As he spoke she knew it was no lie

“God you are so beautiful.” He said that day

She couldn’t help it as she looked away

“What? Was it the thing I had to say?”

Still her eyes kept looking away

Soon her face began to blush

Her voice was nothing but a whispering hush

“No one has ever called me beautiful before.”

It was then his eyes looked down on the floor

His turn had come to blush

And now his voice was the whispered hush

“You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.”

She now understood he wasn’t being mean

There was silence again

The journey came to an end for a set of friends
