This is my life you see

Watch all the walls crumble before me

No longer do I have any shelter left

You might as well blame me for the theft

After all my sanctuary fell today

You are better off getting out of my way

I lost my home where I felt secure

Just how much more must I endure

The world is a cold place

Must I be alone to face

Such a tragic destiny

Everyone believes they know what’s best for me

Still I wonder how to get out

And figure what life is all about

Then from my dark hole came you

Skies that were gray turn blue

Love was something that I held back

I was afraid as I began to walk the track

Both of us too childish to understand

How time flies and takes the controlling hand

Soon one day you decide

To let your soul take control while your heart abides

Life again was becoming a bummer

Even though we were on different sides

Before school began

You grab my soul with your hand
