Cosmic butterflies flutter in space,

while mankind seemed to march in place.

What were the events that brought us here,

creating life on this miraculous sphere.



So much time has come and gone,

all the time since the beginning of dawn,

Though all the advances to clear our tears,

have all happened in the past hundred years.



Who knows what the future will bring,

could be enough to create eternal spring.

Or will it be filled with darkness and gloom,

creating events of our eventual doom.
