Surrender's Joy

Through the ashes of my pain,

You begin to effect change,

Taking my hearts wounds,

Brought healing, a broader range.

What I ghouth would destroy,

You used to make me strong.

You took my cries at night,

Turned them into a joyful song.

My heart was  caving inward,

You stepped in to stop the crash,

Asking for me to only surrender,

For my pain, you took the lash.

Looking in the mirror,

All I could see was dark and dim,

You stepped in and cleansed me,

Your grace strong, not a whim.

What once had me faced inward,

You've removed, then healed my heart.

You've given me grace and love,

My heart a new outlook,

   My life a fresh start.
