You showed me love;
You showed me care;
You helped me understand;
That I needed out;

You held me close;
All those lonely nights;
Showing me and telling me;
Everything would be alright;

I trusted you;
And only you;
I wanted you;
Never him;

I was scared to be alone;
You held me close all those nights;
Crying right by my side;
Reassuring me again and again;

That you loved me;
That you cared;
You helped me understand;
You got me out
