IT ALWAYS CONFUSES ME WHEN I SEE GRATEFUL INSTEAD OF GREATFUL. WHEN I LOOKED IT UP THAT IS THE CORRECT WAY BUT WHY I DON'T UNDERSTAND. IF YOU LOOK UP GRATE IT MENTIONS EXAMPLES LIKE GRATING CHEESE OR A DOOR GRATING OR I ALSO THINK OF MAYBE A SEWER GRATE. NOTHING TO DO WITH THANKFULNESS AT ALL...WHERE THE WORD GREAT IS WONDERFUL OR ABOVE AVERAGE JUST MAKES A LOT MORE SENSE BY DEFINITION ALONE IT IS MUCH CLOSER TO THANKFUL THAN GRATEFUL IS AND YET GREATFUL IS NOT EVEN A WORD.. IT BOGGLES MY MIND. AM I THE ONLY ONE OR DOES ANYBODY ELSE EVER THINK ABOUT THIS AT ALL...I KNOW LOTS OF THINGS IN LIFE JUST DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE BUT THIS WORD IS ONE THAT ALWAYS CONFUSES ME...BEST TO JUST USE THANKFUL MAYBE...BUT TO ME GRATEFUL WOULD BE WHAT EXACTLY TO DO WITH GRATE...A LOUD GRATING SOUND OR LOTS OF GRATED CHEESE OR A HUGE SEWER GRATE...YOU GET MY DRIFT....
