I connect with
the most amazing man
and he's pulled from my grasp
by of all things
his own too long withheld circumstance
leaving me to feel
a near in communicable loss
I understand next to nothing
that he has done
and he comprehends even less
sadly
this loss feels bigger to me
than the magma itself
were it to be removed
from the earth's very core entirely
something that would alter the
trajectory of life
for many a millennium to come
forsaking everything
