'Sanity's Nemesis'
surely must be
the conspiracy theorists
they operate
like black holes to humanity
I must admit and scare the absolute
bejeepers out of many 
they speak from a place
out of the twilight zone
about such crazy out there ideas
they operate from strange pits
full of fear
and harp on old ideas
that were disproven way back
long ago many many years
they attempt to divide
the otherwise peaceful
and plant misinformation
with always a negative slant
they could paint the Reverend
Billy Graham as the antichrist
and still manage to keep a
straight face
and that from any angle
never sets well with me
why deliberately focus on
the negative
curing favor with
destructionists
when you can choose
to focus on the positive
why be at mental war with
things that many times are
unproven
or deemed utter poppycock
by better educated minds
I accept the world as it is
I focus on the good and
let the negative flow on
by me
I'm not responsible for
others foul deeds
I rather choose to counter
such individual's actions
with the good that I do
to each their own I say
bask in the glow
you choose
but I've no desire
to be dragged into
such a paranoid operation
of means
I steer wide and clear
of the conspiracy theorists
sight unseen
to my way of thinking
their medications
need to be anti 'ed up
from experience with
the mentally ill
this is a common avenue
they take
seeing evil and plots of
mass misdeeds
where there really are none
sanity is a gift
and love is a spirit's decree
not mistrust and suspicion
of complicated things
that tend to cloak themselves
in the gray of today's media
immediacy........
