drops of water
are much the same
as
words of thought
pressing on the shores
of the mind
tears are emissaries
to the emotions total
many stupidly believe
to shed tears
shows some great weakness
when in reality
tears represent purity
and fearlessness
to face the world
showing one's softer side
that takes unquestionable courage
and fortitude
weakness is the one who self denies
he who pretends he feels nothing
and stands stoically
allowing his pride
to let love leave without
a word, action or deed
all because
that same pride fears
the truth, when played out
might not live up to
that tiny grain of hope
that shivers in the pit
of his very evasive being...............
