poetically bipolar
fracturing fragments
gathering
from a while back
a muscle shirt
stretched out upon a
careless boulder
whimsy bought in a pack
the harrowing highs
and loathsome lows
the dashing do' s
the devastating dont's
gridlock over
such selfish views
from those who refuse
to step upon any middle ground
'Glorious Bastards'
the lot of you
pocket your egos and rhetoric
and do the hard work
you were elected to do
save our middle class
from financial annihilation
give your committees teeth
to bite back
from the corpulent rich
a little more of their
bulging bank accounts'
cash fat
even feudal lords
in the middle ages knew
you can't starve the peons
and get richer and richer
still too
there has to be a balance
even a modicum of fair trade
chop off the waste in medicare
but tax the rich a little more
on those boat loads of money
they made
if Buffet and Gates
openly say it's only fair
then why not rewrite the
turncoat tax codes
on every other million and billionaire..................
