rapping meteorologists
baby hip hop artists
was this the nation
our forefathers
foretold?
television even
has become
a very bad joke
and like the night sky
there is a lot of dead space
and the stars are the
few lovely dots
representing the
few dramatic note worthy
shows
all the anger and the noise
such rivaling opinions make
is enough to give even
a doped up Kuala or drowsy Panda
a mammoth size headache
why do people care what
people who are famous
just for being famous are doing
or how much trouble they
are getting into with the law
that trend
fails to inspire me to comprehend
its reason
chaotic comes to immediate mind
when I think of our America today
so many different people running around
and screaming in many different ways
for many the shallowness is being allowed
to take over
keeping up with the Jones'
is near hypnotic clover
somewhere America dropped her
moral compass and south somehow
became north
west and east entwined to make
nowhere
and half the world stands back
in disgust as the other half
damn near breaks its legs to
try and follow us
please
I beg of you
rescue me from the
general degradation of
the American dream
wake up the country's
citizens and tell them
to grow up
stop whining
and be more than what
they want to be
better yet be
who they were meant to be
a caring, helpful loving
hard working people
that doesn't give two
flips of bottle blond bangs
what Paris Hilton is up to
today
because frankly it feels like
America's 'Depth Of Character
is Under Siege'
