and do not warriors fight for
such said reward themselves
as do not poets scratch their
achingly scarred hearts
with the tip of their own rusted
dull pen sword drawn from
their own personal hell
in such bowed humble mortal attempt
to but touch even the tattered dirty edge
of all you have just mentioned
so many valiant souls die in loveless vain
seeking that inglorious rocky plateau
were it but for love
God's finest intention
to draw man nearest to Himself
through those very longings
bursting forth from the self
in such fiery, near unquenchable
intervention..............
