I know I'm rather late in writing about the war
but at the time I couldn't connect with a concept
so far from my very own door
but now in a time of peace the time has come for
me to even the score
thank you gentlemen for all you've done
not just in fighting the war but loving our great
country so much the more
I don't wish to continue on and become quickly
redundant because frankly I don't want to be a
cowardice bore
but know that ignorance of our present state of
affairs we should discontinue and deplore
let's now hold our heads up high with pride and
honor like in the long ago days of yore
for now we know what patriotism is truly for.....
