You don’t have my heart

No, it’s finally whole

I thought you’d win forever

But I’m finally in control

I saw you out the other night

I wasn’t sure what to say

But all I needed was “hi”

And I knew I was completely over you

I’ve said it before

But I was just lying to myself

I wasn’t quite ready

To move on from this hell

But here I am

A whole new person

A happy single girl

Who finally learned her lesson

I’ve moved on

And it feels so so good

Didn’t think I’d ever get to this point

Wasn’t sure I could

And here I am

You say you want me still

My heart didn’t even skip a beat

I don’t think it ever will

Not for you

Not again

You’re the reason my heart broke

And there is no reason to pretend

I thought it would be okay

I was ready to handle your new girl

But you, you couldn’t

In that moment I was your world

I’m not sure why

Because you didn’t want me anymore

But I love how I feel

To this amazing place
