Little Ginger Doll

Folder:
Fictional Muses

He didn't want to do it
But he was just a doll
Trying to get through it
Praying not to fall

He said no, he said please
But the Other had it all
He had the keys and there
Was just no hope for the doll

He had limits, he said 'no'
But he was just a doll
And so he was forced to go
Over the edge and fall

Into despair and madness
All through the indelible dark
And sadness he fell
He swam in ink it left a mark

On his soul and on his face
Nowhere to turn
No one to call
He fell from Grace

He was just a doll
Battered and broken
He dreamed he didn't fall
And wishes he'd never woken

Author's Notes/Comments:

Inspired by my fictional muse Mitch and what he's been getting himself into lately.
